The doctors at Eye Care Associates of Greater Cincinnati now conduct clinical research studies in an effort to help develop new and improved treatments for eye diseases. Without research like this, innovative drug therapies would not exist.

Blepharitis Eye Drop Study (Fairfield, Mason)

Do you have a red eye? Do you have any of these signs in your eyes?

  • Redness
  • Eyelid Swelling
  • Eyelid Scaling
  • Eyelid Crusting of Lashes

If yes, you may be eligible for a clinical visit study for the inflamed, infected eye.

Eye Care Associates of Greater Cincinnati is conducting a 5 visit research study to see how effective and safe an investigational eye drop is for people who have eyelid infection.

If eligible, you will receive study eye medication with study related eye exams. You will be compensated for your time and travel expense up to a total of $360.OO.

Your participation in the study is completely voluntary and all the information about it will be disclosed in the Informed Consent Form. You will receive the Informed Consent Form at the first visit, or you can request it by mail or by picking it up at our office. By signing the Informed Consent Form, you allow us to enter you in the study without preventing you from withdrawing from the study at any time. We encourage you to read the consent form and ask the study doctor for clarification.

In order to determine if you qualify for this research trial, we will need to ask you some confidential questions about your present health and health history. None of the information that we obtain will be disclosed to anyone other than the study doctor and his/her staff. The information will be kept confidential. If you would like, you may come in to the office to answer these questions or you may answer them on the phone.
